“When I was about 7 or 8 I heard Mars’ “Pump Up The Volume.” I had never heard any music that sounded quite like that record. From a production point of view that was the cornerstone of LEVIATHAN. I heard “So Watcha Sayin?” by EPMD and the beat and scratches made me fiend for turntables like nothing else. Around the same time I heard Public Enemy’s “It Takes A Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back” and continued to lose my mind. Only then I was fiending for a mic too. By the time NWA’s “Straight Outa Compton” hit the streets it was a done deal. I had “Freaky Tales” by Too Short on one of my first mixtapes… I think had some Slick Rick on there too as well as L.L. Cool J.’s “I’m Bad” and that was a mixtape like no other. I still to this day try to chase that first high I felt listening to that shit. So I’m still here somehow and this thing called “RAP” is as well. I’ve lived in Reno, Sacramento, Oakland, Kansas City (Kansas and Missouri), New Jersey, Queens, and Brooklyn and met some real ass people in some random places and times….fake ass people too. I’ve had relationships with Major Labels and Smaller labels and can’t say that it’s been all gravy. Far from it. I have so much love for this game though and always will. Bloc Star is my home now.”
